When I was a kid, the parents of my best friend had a videoclub that went broke, so he had a room full of VHS tapes. We used to watch movies while we ate cookies with chocolate and milk. I remember that our favorite tapes were the Saint Seiya animated movies, you maybe know them as Knights of the Zodiac. it was an anime about young boys who with the power of constellations and mythology creatures, they got an armor and powerful techniques of attack and defense. They defended the reincarnation of Athena, the goddess that protect the humans. Their battles were so melodramatic and bloody, I even remember that one of the attacks made the enemies to remember all the traumas of their childhood, it was all so dramatic and Freudian.
I'm sharing you two drawings of them, the first one is Shun, the saint of Andromeda, I love him because he was a pacifist and very merciful with his enemies, a sensitive warrior.

Recuerdo que nuestras cintas favoritas eran las películas animadas de Saint Seiya, quizás las conozcas como Caballeros del Zodíaco. era un anime sobre jóvenes que con el poder de las constelaciones y criaturas mitológicas, consiguieron una armadura y poderosas técnicas de ataque y defensa. Ellos defendían a la reencarnación de Atenea, la diosa que protege a los humanos. Sus batallas eran tan melodramáticas y sangrientas, incluso recuerdo que uno de los ataques hacía que los enemigos recordaran todos los traumas de su infancia, todo era tan dramático y freudiano.

This one is Mime, the nordic god warrior of the constellation of Benetnasch, with the power of the lire. I loved him for two things, the first one, he was an artist. Unlike other saints that fought using powerful attacks and blast, he just played his musical instrument, and the music turned the enemies into a hypnotic killing dream. The music is even lovely and dramatic at the same time, the "Mime death requiem".
The second thing I love is that is revealed in his battle all his past and trauma, his complex relationship with his adoptive father and how he went from trauma to become a warrior of the nordic god Odin.
