Monomad Challenge - A "Cheeky" Little Squirrel

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge by @monochromes! You can read more about the contest and how to enter HERE! I took my entry and photos as I was walking down my driveway at home. I spotted this little squirrel in the grass just beyond the end of the driveway. I think he (or she) looks rather "cheeky" in this photo!

That first photo is actually the third photo in the few that I took that day but I wanted to use it as the first to show off my post as it looks like the little squirrel was smiling for the photo. Let me take you back to that day! I had my camera in hand with the intention of finding some pretty leaves to photograph. As I began to walk down my driveway to my back yard I stopped abruptly when I saw this happy looking little squirrel at the end of the driveway. It seemed he heard me as well when he sat up on his hind legs. It looks like he is already flashing a smile!

I knew for sure he heard me and saw me as he turned and looked up my driveway to see me standing there staring at him. I had just gotten my camera open and gotten a couple of shots off. It alarmed me just briefly because just look at him! While cute as heck, he was striking a "karate chop" pose so goodness knows what his intentions might have been. I only wanted a few photos and wasn't looking for any kind of confrontation ... lol.

He turned his head and maybe I am mistaken but it looks like the "cheeky" squirrel kind of posed and flashed me another quick smile! Here is that first photo again and if you look closely then perhaps you will agree?!

He didn't pose for long and as I stepped a foot closer the "cheeky" little squirrel turned quickly and scampered away. I'm pretty sure though that I've seen this squirrel before and, I have no doubt, I'll be seeing him again! 😁
