I captured this baby squirrel recently while I was on the Big Gunpowder Trail. This trail is located at the Big Gunpowder Falls State Park in Baltimore County, Maryland at approximately 10092 Belair Road. This is also the trail that takes you out to the Pot Rocks area. Here are a few more photos that I captured of this particular baby squirrel.

This photo makes me laugh because I think it looks like the baby squirrel is saying a prayer .. lol. Just look at that magnificent tail this little one has on him (or her)!

Here it looks like the baby squirrel thinks that if he (or she) crouches down that I won't see him. I think baby squirrels are especially cute little critters. I saw several on this outing but only captured a couple of them in photos. I'll be showing the other one soon enough. Showing both in one post just might result in a "cuteness" overload.

This is the area that I caught the cute little critters at. I tried to find the best angles to get my photos without too much obstructing foliage. They definitely have a beautiful spot to play around and grow up in! 🖤

They are super cute when they first emerge out of their nests.

Thanks so much @sketch.and.jam!! They sure are and it was lovely seeing them scampering all around in the woods! 😊

What a great capture…looks good in B & W. Love the big fluffy tail, Dee. This one hasn’t been in a fight over territory. The poor little red squirrel I have coming around has hardly any tail left. 🐿 🤗

Thank you so much Jo!! They were so adorable. I've seen a lot of baby squirrels in the woods but often times they are super fast running away and hiding. Still a joy just to see them though. I'm sorry to hear about the poor little red squirrel Jo. When I was little my mom had a squirrel that would visit our house daily. We called him Chipper. We all knew Chipper because he was missing part of his tail. He was a nice little squirrel and could always count on peanuts when he visited. Sometimes he would scratch at the back door and mom would say to one of us, "open the door and tell Chipper I'm getting his peanuts". Lol..great memories! Have a beautiful weekend Jo and I hope that little squirrel is able to grow some of its tail back. 💞
