Firstly, I’m going to list out the ingredients for the samosa filling;

• minced/grinded beef
• carrots
• Green bell peppers
• Red bell peppers or scotch bonnets
• Dried red peppers
• spring onions
• Red onion
• seasoning powder
• soy sauce

carrots

Green bell pepper

Red onion/scotch bonnet pepper

Dark soy sauce

STEP ONE

firstly, I couldn’t get minced beef so I decided to improvise and blended mine with our regular blender, please be sure not add those oily part or any part that seems really hard so that it wouldn’t damage your blender, after blending set it aside.

STEP TWO

Wash all your vegetables i.e Carrots, green and red bell peppers, scotch bonnets peppers, red onions and spring onions thoroughly, after that chop or dice them into smaller sizes and also set aside.

STEP THREE

Put a clean pan on the medium heat, add the grinded beef and a little amount of water

allow to cook till it becomes brown.

STEP 4

Add all the spring onions, green and red bell peppers, scotch bonnet, carrot and red onions, also add seasoning powder i.e, curry, and stir very well, then lastly add the soy sauce to give it that Chinese recipe taste but if you dont have this you can add a little bit of salt , stir this combination and allow to cook for some minutes and turn off the heat, and also set it aside.

HOW TO MAKE SAMOSA WRAP SHEETS

There different ways to make this wrap sheet but I’m just going to be showing you one way today.

First of you will be needing, all purpose flour, granulated sugar (grinded sugar), salt, and water.

STEP ONE

Add two cups of all purpose flour in a bowl, add a teaspoon amount of salt and a cooking spoon of sugar
Mix this combination very well, then add water little by little, mix it very well to make dough

After making a dough, cover it in a bowl and allow it to sit for 15 to 20 minutes.

STEP TWO

Get a work space, clean it thoroughly, bring the dough on the work space, share into two, take one side and also share it four equal smaller sizes

  • take one these, get a rolling pin and kneed it till its becomes flat, get vegetable oil and generously brush it on the kneeded dough then sprinkle flour on it then set aside, take another piece of dough kneed it and place it on top of the first one, brush vegetable oil and sprinkle flour on it again, repeat this step for the four dough.

  • After that bring the four layered dough on your workspace, and kneed it to become one very flat dough

Note: Repeat this process for the remaining dough

STEP 3

Place a clean non stick pan on medium to low heat, bring the flat dough on the pan and allow to heat, heat both side, do not allow to burn or become crunchy.
Remove from the heat, and place and cover them in towel to retain moisture

HOW TO FILL THE WRAP SHEET

Firstly, mix a little amount of flour with water to make a thick paste and set this aside.
Separate each samosa wraps gently to avoid it tearing up.

STEP I

Take one wrap sheet, share it into two, and make a triangle shape, using the previously mixed flour and water (thick paste) to seal it.

After making the first triangle shape, you will have a pocket, so fill the up the pocket with your samosa filling, seal it with the thick paste, and continue folding it in a triangular shape using the thick paste to seal it up

FOLLOW THE PROCESS BELOW

STEP 2

Add some amount of vegetable oil in your fry pan, allow the oil to get very hot, then add the samosas in the oil, fry both sides till golden brown, if the oil doesn’t get really hot before adding the samosas, the samosas would get soaked in the oil.

It looks delicious! It is similar to Lumpiang Shanghai, but its shape is triangle and I think it was spicy based from it's ingredients!
