At the end of 2021, I took a big decision in my life to quit my job at a bank in Nigeria to start up my business - a Fashion business. It was one of the biggest decisions I have had to make considering the fact that I'm quitting a constant paying job for one that I'm going to build from the scratch. Business in this part of the world is not something that is easy to start considering there may be so much challenges but despite knowing all these I still forged ahead to quit my job.

I have had to stay away from sewing and everything that have to do with the fashion business for a long time after taking up a job in the corporate world, so I had to make another decision of taking up classes at a fashion house for about two to three months to get acquainted with the business environment once again. The training experience was worth it and I'm grateful that I had an understanding boss who took me through all the process patiently. There are new styles that are in vogue now that wasn't when I Iast made dresses some years back, so I was able to catch up on them within these few months. It was easy for me because I didn't have to start from the basics.

Some days back I wrote a post titled What next after the completion of my fashion training. I ended my training last week and I'm searching for a shop in a strategic area at the moment. I have not been able to get a suitable location and the search will continue today because I can't afford to sit at home idle. I get bothered each time I realize that I haven't got a suitable place to start my business - I start to feel like I am lazy and only quitted my job to sit at home.

WHY I DESERVE 100 HIVES

100 hives will go a long way in supporting my new business because I still have a lot of things to do even after renting a shop such as making of furnitures such as shelves, cabinets, tables, demarcation of the shop so that one part will be for sewing and the other will be for a mini office where I can discuss business with my clients. Also, I still need to buy mannequins that I will use to display my works and fabrics that I have for sale. Apart from that I may need to do some renovation such as painting among others depending on the type of space I'm able to get. I will really be happy if I'm being considered for this huge gift.
