If you want to live a bitter and frustrating life then try to compare yourself with other people for a day and you'd regret ever existing. Well, this has become a norm for some people and unfortunately they keep wondering why their life have not been progressing. This act of comparing ourselves with others can either be intentional or unintentional but we must be very careful not to allow it become a norm in our life.

Wondering the reason why we compare ourselves with others? The common reason people compare themselves with people around them is to know whether they are doing better than the other person or not. This kind of feeling usually bring about unhealthy competition where we always want to be the best and we get sad when our friends or colleagues are doing better. We should know that if we want to enjoy our friendship, work relationship, etc, we must create a healthy environment where each and every one will be able to survive without unnecessary rivalry.

It is impossible for you to be the best in every area of life. It is impossible for you to be beautiful or handsome more than all your friends. It is impossible for you to be more successful than everyone around you. There will be at least one person that will be more talented, skillful, brilliant than you are. And if you have observed overtime that you are the best in everything, maybe you have not leave your comfort zone to meet new people. When you meet these people you should not make unhealthy comparison that will lead to breakdown of your relationship.

In some cases, we compare ourselves with other people because we have made their achievements, way of life, etc become some sort of feat that we must achieve. We often will not stop until we buy the kind of jewelry that our friend bought or the latest iPhone in town. We may not feel among until we do the things that our friends do and this is not always supposed to be so. On the long run you'd not be able to be your true self because all you want to be is someone else. The comparison that you make that are not in your favor will end up reducing your self-esteem to the barest minimum.

The feelings of hate and jealousy may begin to surface when comparison is unhealthy. It may make a person make decisions that are not good such as doing everything possible to achieve what the other persons have achieved even if it means that someone have to go down for it. Comparison can cause bitterness to the other person that their thought will make you wish them bad. Having this type of feelings in our mind towards people around us is only going to make us overstrss ourselves.

Thank you for your time lovelies.

Comparison is unhealthy especially when it comes with negative thought like bitterness, anger and unhappiness as well. It gives birth to inferiority complex. It destroys your self esteem as well
