What's buzzing, friends!

Have you ever been tasked with an assignment that you just did not want to do? The mere thought of completing it or continuing to do it seemed like an arduous, hellacious, downright soul-sucking experience you just did not want to do? We think we've all been there... at least once.

If you were working in the Antarctica research facility known as "Brown Station", you may have been an unintentional victim of someone's desire not to work.

It was the end of the Arctic summer in 1984. The Argentinian research outpost known as "Brown Station" was getting ready for its winter isolation from the rest of the world. The facility housed a number of different personnel, one of which was the facility doctor.

For reasons that are not publicly known, this doctor did not want to weather the winter at this research facility. We can only imagine that he thought it was too much of an ordeal to live through a winter in the Arctic. Being the sly doctor he was, he had a hot plan. He set the outpost on fire and burnt it down.

Luckily, there were no injuries, and a U.S. Navy ship ended up evacuating the personnel from the now burnt ruins of their outpost.

We think that is some next level of duty avoidance. Please note that the D.Buzz management does not advocate burning down a building to escape from your assignments.

Sometimes, it's best just to suck it up and do it. Who knows, maybe you would really enjoy what you're putting off? Just like you will really enjoy reading this week's updates from D.Buzz! And the best part is, it won't even take the full winter! :D

You can read more about this interesting story on Wikipedia HERE.

NOPE, no winter for me, burning it all down!
