RE: Things to Do if You Win a Lottery

Au contraire—I would not feel the desire to tell other's about my win at all; in fact, I wouldn't even tell my family at first. My first impulse would be to call an accountant and then a lawyer. Only then would I tell my family, but under the condition that they tell no one. If the winnings were large enough, I would move. Because the news would get out eventually, so I wouldn't want anyone to know where I was.

Once that all was taken care of, I'd have the accountant invest all of it and I'd live off the interest. I'd continue to work because I like work. (unless it was enough that the interest is more than enough to pay my bills, then I would probably quit and spend time with my family and hobbies)

Yes, that is certainly something to consider as you never know what will happen once the news gets out.

Once that all was taken care of, I'd have the account invest all of it and I'd live off the interest.

even though this is the right choice to make, hardly anyone makes it. I have seen a lot of people win a lot of money but they all spend it on something frivolous. My own Uncle won like 500000 INR twice and he just spent everything on materialistic things rather than save for the Future.
