Strange noises in the schoolyard [ESP/ENG)

Good morning friends of the inexplicable😶

Today I have the opportunity to tell you something that to date I have not been able to explain, it was a strange event that happened to me a few years ago.

Before the Covid19 pandemic, I used to go to work very early from Monday to Friday, I am a teacher, and I got used to arrive at my classroom at least one hour before my students arrived. We usually started school activities from 7:20am to 7:30am, I arrived at my classroom at 6:10am, this gave me a good margin of time to organize necessary details or pending things inherent to my work.

Of all the classrooms in the school, my classroom along with another one above it, were the most secluded of all, they were located in the courtyard, at the end of the playground, just in front of these two classrooms was a small park with seesaws and a slide. Before they were used as classrooms, they were the school's storage rooms, but when the enrollment of students increased, the room below them was made available and they assigned it to me.

Every day my husband would leave me at school very early before leaving for work. At that time, the staff that attended the school cafeteria arrived practically at the same time as I did, and usually the one who opened the school for us was the night shift custodian, who would take advantage of the arrival of any of us to go home. There were times when I would arrive before the cafeteria staff and I would be alone in the whole school, but before retiring to my classroom, which was so far from the entrance, I would wait for the arrival of any other teacher or the cafeteria lady who was always with her daughter and granddaughter.

As in every school there were always stories or tales of inexplicable matters, but knowing that in a school so much energy is manifested daily with the children running around, the hustle and bustle of activities, voices, songs, in short, I would never miss some things, but to be honest, one thing is to think it and another thing is to live it.

One day I arrived at the same time as the cafeteria staff, that day I could not stay to chat or wait for a coffee, it was necessary for me to retire to my classroom to prepare the monthly attendance statistics to be delivered that day. For this reason, after greeting the cafeteria lady, I went to my classroom, turned on the lights and the air conditioning, placed my portfolio on my desk, looked for my attendance records and began to work. Five minutes after entering the classroom I heard a noise in the courtyard, it was like a sound of stones, it was a soft sound, I must clarify that the park located at the entrance of the classroom was covered with gray pebbles.

At first I did not pay attention to the sound, but after a while I heard it again, but this time with more force, or maybe closer, I got up and looked out the window, but I saw nothing, no one, and returned to the desk, I had not finished sitting when this time the noise of the stones was heard with more force and in the form of a herd, it was then that I ran to the door to capture whoever was making the noise without giving him time to hide.

I managed to open the door before the noise ended but no one was there, at that moment my body bristled completely, and feeling a soft and cold breeze I went out almost in the middle of the court and turned to the canteen and the little park and no one was there, the lady of the canteen asked me from her window,

____What's going on, teacher? I answered her in surprise.
I____Did you hear?
Mrs. ____ Of course we heard, but we thought it was you.
I____ No, this time, it wasn't me.
Mrs.____Come and have some coffee, you look pale.

Well, what happens is that I am one of those teachers who does not mind sitting on a swing to think of new ways to work in the classroom, or to walk on a seesaw to distract myself, that's me🙃, that's me🙃.

The truth is that when I heard her words, I asked her if they had really heard something, and her answer was very clear:

____Professor, we heard stones three times, the first two we took them normal because you sometimes sit in the little park but the last time we looked out because it sounded like they were throwing the stones down the slide____ I answered that that was exactly what I had heard. I didn't want to give the matter any more thought so I could go finish my work, but the lady told me before I turned my back once I had my coffee that at that time, for about 5 years, strange things always happened at school, all because of the sad death of an elementary school child.
I kept quiet, said nothing, finished turning around and went to the living room.

I stopped thinking about what had happened, but when it was time for the children's recess, everyone went out for breakfast and to play in the playground and the court, I was standing at the door watching them all watching my group or any possible eventuality, suddenly eventuality.

Suddenly I heard the sound of stones falling, I went to a group of children surrounding the slide, some were at the bottom and others at the top, they were scared to see me because they were throwing stones from above, I asked them to do it again, they did not believe it, it is understandable, because being the teacher who was asking them, they would think it was a scolding, but one of them dared.

As I listened I realized that it was similar to the sound I heard earlier, however it was not exactly that sound, and that was when it occurred to me to ask those who were below to throw stones at the slide from their position. At that moment all my hair stood up again, it was exactly the inexplicable sound of the morning, someone we never saw had thrown stones to the slide from below, someone like a child, I do not know, the truth is that we will never know. What I can tell you, is that although that is no longer my classroom, I frequent it a lot because I left some of my materials there, and every time I cross the court and look towards the playground, I can't help but hear the sound of the stones falling down the slide.
