Not all

And, I know you just want to share happiness, to express joy. However, not all happiness deserves to be shared on social media. And, everything also takes the right time. This is not the right time.

Indeed, not all happiness deserves to be shared on social media. You upload a photo of your successful SBMPTN or pass at your favorite school, but little do you realize that your friend is crying in her room, having a hard time accepting her failure.

Some are rich in wealth. Some are struggling with their financial situation. So until death. Some are destined to live happily with someone they love, loyal to death. However, there are people who can never be with someone they love. So until death.

Some are destined to have popularity and influence in their community. Or, perhaps, on a larger scale. People hear his voice. People are willing to sacrifice for him. Meanwhile, other people are destined never heard, always compared, even despised. So until death.

A friend once pointed out that we get a skewed idea of what people's lives are really like on social media. Most people want to be positive, celebrate the good, and show off a bit. Often, things are not as amazing as they appear.

That is why I just try to keep it real by sharing the good and the bad. I like to hear of other people's good fortune and success even when my own life is not going well.

One thing I struggle with on Hive is that I think my problems, concerns, illness, and despair might seem ridiculous to someone making $2 per day in a developing nation who works insanely hard. I might seem rich and idle to such a person even though I am certainly not rich. When I am idle, I don't like it; it is depression.

I worry about this.

But I feel good when others succeed. Sometimes, it even gives me hope.

I was thinking yesterday about Michael Jackson's children. They are so wealthy and privileged, but that is just superficial (although money is important in its place). They are growing up deprived of some of the most fundamental human needs and straddling two different worlds. They are outcasts everywhere and cannot escape the allegations about their father.

It made me realize that whether people enjoy life or not has little to do with wealth. Abject poverty is miserable and should be eradicated. However, barring that, a relatively poor man could have a much richer life than a wealthy man.

The poor man, at least, usually knows who truly loves him and who his real friends are.
