Reddit getting ready to launch its own NFT platform

Over the past few months social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter have been working to support non-fungible tokens (NFTs), creating a major competition to major marketplaces.

Reddit appears to be hiring workers to support the design, build, and maintenance of a non-fungible token (NFT) platform.
Reddit are currently searching for a senior backend engineer for a platform responsible for users to create, buy, sell and use NFT backed digital goods like arts, music, video clips etc.

It is said that the position requires at least five (5) years of experience in backend development as well as the ability to design and implement complex distributed systems operating under high load.

Over the years Reddit has acted as a an agency bringing together cryptocurrency users for years, users can also earn the platform’s community points like digital currency like tokens in the form of Moons or Bricks (Brick is the official cryptocurrency of the r/FortNiteBR or Fortnite Battle Royal subreddit while moon are ERC-20 Tokens given as rewards for an individual’s contributions to r/CryptoCurrency) by posting certain content to earn rewards.

However, some crypto exchange platform has been slowly launching their own NFT marketplaces; social media platforms have also been working to support the technology. Social media big bull Facebook suggests its Novi digital wallet would likely support NFTs, and Twitter also revealed in September it was working towards allowing users to display an NFT as their profile picture.
