I AM A TEACHER
Ever since the beginning of my school days, I have always been asked what I want to be when I grow up. I've always seen this question to be a simple one because I already had the mind of being a banker.
Unfortunately or should I say fortunately, destiny had other plans for me. I had to change my dreams of being a banker to becoming a secondary school class room Economics Teacher due to circumstances beyond my control.

Nobody knows what the future holds, and this is because even after we have decided on what we want to be in future, destiny always has a way of playing with our dreams.
The future is a mystery and the thoughts of man aren't that of God because even when man proposes, God disposes.
I have come to build my profession in Teaching. I guess this is where my destiny landed me and I have no regrets about that.

The teaching profession is one the professions most people run away from. Little do they know that teaching is the best profession anyone can find him or herself in. Teachers serve as role models and most students idolize their teachers especially when they are extraordinarily good.
I love being a teacher because I have always been very concerned for others and I can easily see myself working with children. I have the flare of helping people become great in any sphere of life they find themselves. I also love touching the lives of people in the best possible way.
Becoming a teacher is a dream come true since I now have the opportunity to fulfil my dream of shaping the lives of children and bringing out the best in them. I can boldly say that there is no other profession better than teaching.
I have no regrets knowing that I am living my dream of being a teacher even if that wasn't my initial dream. Honestly, I wouldn't trade this profession for any other profession in the world even in my next life.
I am a teacher now, and I so much love my job. In the future, I will still be a teacher.

My mom was a teacher and i watched as kids flocked to her. Some even refused to call her anything but mummy. Sadly she was undervalued and underpaid...
That's just the problem teachers are facing.. They ain't see as the most important people.. They do look down on them and they don't pay them well... I just hope all these will soon be a thing of the past
I doubt that but okay... It's a global thing i heard... Teachers are looked down on everywhere
Not fully global though.. I heard of a country where teachers are taken care of and are well respected..I can't really place my hands on the name of the country now but as soon as I found it, I will let you know

I think teaching is a noble profession but sadly often not seen as such
I do still today in my 60s remember fondly some of my teachers and how their interaction with me back when I was young helped shape the person I have become

Guess destiny had other plans for me.. I ended up becoming a teacher and I am proud of my profession...
I have been able to make impact on the lives of most persons and these persons are still grateful to me till now...
I love this. Seriously, teaching is the best profession because without it, I don't think we can have bankers, atrologers, engineer, lawyers, journalists etc. I am also a teacher and I am proud to be one.

!PIZZA The teaching profession is all too often undervalued but I honestly believe it is one of the most important in this world of ours. True teaching moments come when we least expect them, both for the teacher and the student. Your joy shines through in this short but passionate piece.
Am glad you understand how important the teaching profession is in our world today. Even though we are being undervalued, am glad that doesn't stop us from doing what we know how to do best which is to teach.

The joy of being a teacher is far more reaching that the wages you get. Only that society is paying an unkind attention the teaching which has served as the bedrock of other profession.

I really don't know why the society don't give serious attention to the teaching professional... It's really funny how those produced by these teachers are paid more than they pay these teachers.. It's well.. I hope and pray they will soon be given what they deserve..
