Happiness

What is happiness but a momentary distraction from the swamp of reality. When last were you actually truly happy? Do you remember? I wonder if you are happy at the moment. If you are, how long will it last?

What makes happiness so special is that it's rare and sweet. It is so incomprehensible sweet that one might end up saying that they are always happy.

Waking up every single day looking at yourself in the mirror and saying that you are happy out loud over and over drilling the delusion of happiness into your brain forcing that hideous smile of yours just so that you can allow yourself to go out into the world one more day.

I can't remember the last time I genuinely smiled at someone or something. I don't think I can remember the last time I felt the joy of anticipation when something amazing was coming my way. That butterfly in my stomach that reminded me that I was alive and that blood was pumping through my veins.

Even as I stand on a stage spilling my guts out to people, the thought if they liked it or not, the panic before my name is called out, I don't feel it anymore. I am standing butt naked in front of everyone and I don't feel anything. In the rare moments that we are happy, we don't actually see it until after it's over.

You know that bitter taste after you eat something sweet, as you taste that bitterness you start to reminisce about how sweet what you ate was.

What is happiness but a fleeting moment you can never get back to.
Happiness is so sweet that the bitter after taste lasts for so long that you forget how happy you were.

Happiness isn't just a state of mind or a way of life, it's a state of being, a state of existing. You are a happy person not a person living happily.
It's not a drug you can take filling your mind up with dopamine. If it were that easy we would all be happy with syringes in our hands singing hand in hand in front of a bon fire.

You can get addicted to dopamine but not true happiness. I don't want to be an addict, I just want to be happy.

What else is left to be said? If we don't prioritize our happiness, we can't love ourselves and vice versa. Most of all, we can't share it with others. It is said that you can't give what you don't have. Great post.

And the Queen commented on my post... Good to have you back... Indeed, you can never give out what you don't have.. You can only be happy in order to share your happiness with others... We should learn to priotize our happiness over that of others

Your happiness is very much important to make people happy as well. The way you behave around people can make you either bring happiness to them or sadness to their inner mind. This is why we must always be happy.

Happiness can come to you when you do not doubt yourself and what your capacity can carry.
