A Dragonfly 6.30.2021

This might not be my best picture of a dragonfly as it is not as focused as I would like it to be , but here it is. I thought it was pretty big compared to other dragonflies that come to my backyard.

I like dragonflies as they eat flies and of course, I would rather have less flies than more, so I would rather have as many dragonflies come to my backyard as they would like.

I have seen a dragonfly land on my nectarine tree and then took off and came back again and landed on my nectarine tree again and this time the dragonfly had a fly in its clutches and it went ahead and ate that fly.

Then the dragonfly took off again and it landed on my nectarine tree again and again I notice another fly in its clutches and it started to munch on that fly.

Than again it took off, and again it landed on my nectarine tree, and again I see a fly in it's clutches and it started to munch on that fly. I must say that the dragonfly that kept on coming to my nectarine tree, let me see it eat three flies. What a wonderful dragonfly.

As I think of lots of flies, I remember something in the scriptures about flies. As it is written, And the LORD did so; and there came a grievous swarm into the house of Pharaoh, and his servants' houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm. Exodus 8:24.

So I welcome the beneficial insect, the dragonfly in my backyard.

I was just pulled away, from my writing as I heard a very loud sound from a jet, I thought it was military, well anyway I just went outside and heard its sound, but couldn't see it.

Then I noticed things flying around my next door neighbor's front yard. What was flying around my neighbor's front yard? Well, it was a bunch of dragonflies. Not as big as the one in the picture, but any size of dragonfly is welcomed in my neighborhood.

So a large dragonfly came to visit my backyard and hopefully it had a meal of a few flies during its stay.

Let's end with a scripture, as it is written, And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I the LORD that healeth thee. Exodus 15:26.
