Trains & Mountains ~ Posted in the New “Colour / Black & White Photography Community
What is more picturesque than a mountain? Why a mountain with a train going by it of course! I have always loved photographing trains, and mountains especially. I have also been fascinated with hobby toy train sets and how detailed and lifelike they look. So cool. Someday I'll have to invest in a full-on train set! Photos taken inside the beautiful Jasper National Park, Alberta.
In case you have not heard, there is a new community called “Colour / Black & White”. Dedicated to photographers who love both colour and black & white photography. Posting both images together. I will be personally curating qualified posts. Let’s see what you got!

Great shots! From the days of my youth when my dad would take me to watch the trains, I have marveled at what those diesel/electros can pull!
Yeah, it's amazing watching those large heavy trains do their business. So cool.
I love trains, especially when they are pulling a long trail. I don't travel by train much, maybe twice in the last three years, but, each time, the feeling of watching the scenery go by, especially in the country is timeless. It is always about the journey and the people you meet as you are crossing county lines.
My dad had a miniature train set that he treasured for all of my growing-up days. He was fascinated by it and it was one of those things that he shared his love of it with us. We built little towns and villages. I think you should do it!!
I love these shots, especially the color. The adventure, the adrenaline... it just cannot be black and white. Shout it out in color!
Plus, the shots are pretty awesome !
Only thing with these miniature sets is that it will take up the whole downstairs! Thanks for dropping by. Choo choo.
True~ My dad finished off the attic and hijacked that! :)
Wooow
It amazes me how blue and unpolluted the sky is. We do not have such pure scenes here. Canada must be a healthy place to live. Thanks for sharing.
Perhaps not as much pollution up here!
The colored versions are so beautiful.
Thanks
You're welcome.
