Around the Canadian Rockies in Colour and Black & White

As you may know, if you have been following my blog for awhile, I do have a passion for both colour and black & white photography. Ever since discovering Ansel Adams some years back, I have been a big fan of that genre of photography. It has a timelessness factor to it, which is really cool in my books. That being said, if I had to choose between the two genres, likely colour photography would still come out on top. Only by a hari though. Sometimes only colour photography will work, especially when vibrant colours are on display, such as glacially fed turquoise water, and things like that. For today, a few more captures from my excursion to Rae glacier, located near Elbow Lake, and inside the spectacular Kananaskis country, just off of highway 40, Alberta.

Nice shot's, I agree. Love them both black/white and color, its like two different loves with two different meanings. Hard choice to say what one is better or maybe they are equal if your a photographer.

Depends on my mood you might say. If I was hanging one on my wall, probably would go with the black and white actually.

Beautiful! The both colours are amazing. The black and white looks like it's winter season

I love your black-and-white photography more and it just because I love and white. Great work
