I don't know what type they are but every year about this time I see them on the roads and walking paths. I bet there are a lot more around that I am not seeing. I think these are the males. The females I believe are about twice this big.

Not weird at all. I usually k on n see them twice a year early spring and about this time of year. They can be very shy
