7 months ago I started a new project with a Jeep wrangler YJ [ENG/ESP]

Rebuild of a Jeep Wrangler YJ 92/ The begining

So, I guess I should start with how I found this Jeep. I have a cousin that owns a car part shop and also in his main store he has a really nice car repair garage, he owns a few cars and among them was this Jeep, I always saw it when I was there leaving my car for any repair or to install something new on my Mitsubishi lancer. One day I decided to ask him about it, and to be honest at that moment I hadn't much knowledge about Jeeps, so I though that was a Rubicon (most expensive wrangler edition), to my surprise it was a wrangler yj, so he asked if I would like to buy it, which after thinking about it for a while and ask a few opinions I decided to do so.

Así que, creo que debería empezar con cómo encontré este Jeep. Tengo un primo que es dueño de un taller de repuestos y además en su tienda principal tiene un taller de reparación de coches muy bonito, tiene unos cuantos coches y entre ellos estaba este Jeep, siempre lo veía cuando estaba allí dejando mi coche para alguna reparación o para instalar algo nuevo en mi Mitsubishi lancer. Un día decidí preguntarle por él, y para ser sincero en ese momento no tenía muchos conocimientos sobre Jeeps, así que pensé que era un Rubicon (edición más cara del wrangler), para mi sorpresa era un wrangler yj, así que me preguntó si me gustaría comprarlo, lo cual después de pensarlo un rato y pedir unas cuantas opiniones decidí hacerlo.

Obviously there still needed some work to be done before it was functional, so we got to a deal where in their garage they would do part of the major repair and engine rebuild, that is a 242 4.0 I6 btw, since I lack of the tools to do it myself, even if working in these engine is kinda easy and simple compared to newer cars, the suspension was brand new but also it it got new piston rings to 0.20, a new carburetor that he already had it from a time ago (it also has the full injection and EFI kit but it needs config), a new radiator and the AC compressor was also kinda new, the jeep has been a work in progress for him but has been stop there for a good time now. It also had a new set of Bfgoodrich 305/70r17 tires.

También tenía un set de cauchos nuevos Bfgoodrich 305/70r17.

Of course, even if I trust him, before buy any car we should do a test drive, that was the first step before closing the deal and start working on it, it was incredible smooth for a Jeep (that old) and with such a good lift (about 4"), it was easy to drive and since the the suspension was new and modified, the ride was really good and not bumpy or annoying at all, sadly we had to go rush back to the garage since it was leaking a bit of gas for a hose, that was the gas return line that was not properly connected.

Por supuesto, aunque confíe en él, antes de comprar cualquier coche deberíamos hacer una prueba de conducción, ese era el primer paso antes de cerrar el trato y empezar a trabajar en él, era increíblemente suave para un Jeep (tan antiguo) y con una elevación tan buena (cerca de 4"), era fácil de conducir y como la suspensión era nueva y modificada, la conducción era realmente buena y no tenía baches ni era molesta en absoluto, lamentablemente tuvimos que volver corriendo al garaje ya que perdía un poco de gasolina por una manguera, esa era la línea de retorno de gasolina que no estaba bien conectada.

Since the process is a bit long, I'll have to split it on different posts, showing the parts, new lights, interior, body paint and all the works that have been done so far until now, and a few tricks that I have learn with my new Jeep.
