My own version of Creamy Tuna Carbonara in the Philippines

What's new with you today? It's finally the weekend! Time to cook!

Greetings hivers!
I'm your chef for today, and welcome to my blog! In my third blog, I will show you how to make a carbonara the way I like it.

The term “Original style Carbonara” refers to a pasta sauce typically made with pork bacon, egg, and grated cheese only. Some people might call it white spaghetti. Traditionally in Rome or Italy, what they use to make their carbonara creamy is either eggyolks or whole eggs, and a lot of cheese. And they also make use of cured pork. But today, I'm going to present the one that we're all familiar with, the one with cream or milk. Now I'll show you how I make my own carbonara with century tuna.

By the way, this is also extremely beneficial to business. I decided made it for them. Because many of my friends and colleagues have tried my tuna carbonara and they super love it and came to the point to order it from me every occasion and every now and then!

Let’s start cooking it!

Procedure
First pan:

  • First, heat the pan. And put some oil.
  • Fry ham and chicken hotdog in pan until brown and lightly toasted. Remove ham and chicken hotdog from pan.
  • Using the same pan and remaining cooking oil, add in butter, and saute garlic and onions. Cook it over low heat.
  • Add in mushrooms. Cook for another minute.
  • Add in century tuna. Cook for another minute.
  • Then add in the cooked ham and chicken hotdog. But left some on top later.

Second pan:

  • Put butter or magarine. Let it melt for a seconds.
  • Pour in Nestle cream All-Purpose Cream.
  • Pour in Evaporada milk. And stir it.
  • Pour in Condensed milk. And stir it.
  • Add in quickmelt cheese.
  • Combine and mix all the cooked ingredients from the first pan.
  • Season it with ground black pepper and toss in or pour over pasta.
  • Then mix it with pasta noodles and serve it and add parsley to add color. (Optional)

Guys, just a tip. If you think that the carbonara you are making is still too dry, you can add 1/4 cup of hot pasta water or the water we used for boiling our pasta noodles.

Thanks for sharing this recipe! 🙌 That carbonara looks so creamy that it might be even better than those in restaurants!

I tried this recipe and totally loved it!! I was kinda short in ingredients so I had tuna, cream, cheese, and pasta only. Turned okay quite yummy (thank goodness) 😂
