Xmas lesson: Your friend's opinion matters too

This week has been fun, Christmas was delightful.

Yunno,I learnt something this week, and it goes down to friendship.
So on Christmas day I put on an organza top and a red skirt,I looked good,I felt okay,I went to church and everyone was in love with the top.
I took pictures and put it on social media,I got likes.
My best friend saw the top and didn't like it one bit,he disapproved it completely. I felt bad, really bad because I had made the top myself,I'd stayed up to bead the dress,it was okay till my best friend saw it.
A lot of things ran through my mind,I wasn't satisfied,I'd asked my discipler if she found the top nice, she said she was okay with it,I told her my best friend didn't like it.
The response she gave me made me have a whole new view of friendship. She told me if my best friend didn't like what I wore,I should be able to adjust for my friend to be happy.
She said that's what friendship is all about, sometimes it's not always about your opinion, your friends should have a say too, this is why I always emphasize on keeping good friends,they give good advice and they wouldn't want you to get hurt,a good friend will always want the best for you.
The response I was given made me give my best friend a chance , yes, your friends opinion matters as well. Give thought to it and try to adjust.
A tree cannot make a forest, good friends mean the best for you.
Lol, this is interesting and I have a totally different opinion. It doesn't matter if your best friend likes your clothes or not. You are the one who has to like it and that's it. What kind of friend is that who is forcing her opinion on you, instead of accepting what you like? You have to wear it, not her. Friendship is about accepting the other as it is, not about changing her into something you want.
Sorry to disappoint you with my opinion, but if you're going to do what others want, you'll be unhappy all your life.
That's where sacrifice comes in,I believe a good friend knows the things you like and dislike,the top was something new and my friend wasn't aware of it,we share everything with each other,I believe my friend was open to give opinion about it,it made me unhappy at first, but after I gave it much thought and an elder talked to me,I saw from the brighter side.
My friend doesn't force or impose,that I can assure you.
Everyone see things differently, and people's opinions are appreciated once in a while.
The top was actually very transparent,I didn't give it much thought initially, but after my friend disapproved,I looked at it properly and guess what,my friend was right.
That's why I emphasized on having good friends.
