Cu De River - A Land of Gentle Beauty🌿

Cu De River has a pristine beauty, harmonizing between vast heaven and earth with majestic high mountains and clear blue river, which is a fairly famous destination recently in Da Nang. This will be a place where people can blend in with nature to breathe fresh air, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. However, an interesting thing is that not all Danang people know this place. Therefore, this place still retains the pristine features and wild beauty of nature.

My stop for the picnic was at a bank of the Cu De River in Hoa Bac commune, Hoa Vang district, about 24km northwest of Da Nang city. The river water here is green all year round, created from two branches of the South and North rivers, which originate from the majestic Truong Son mountain range. The surrounding green mountains and endless rice fields bring beauty to this river.

Leaving behind the hustle and bustle of the urban area, the honking of car horns, and the tired traffic jams, coming to the banks of Cu De River, you will be immersed in the majestic and peaceful nature. You will be able to see the "charming water" picture bestowed by nature that not everyone has the opportunity to admire.

The Way To The River

The road to here is quite convenient and easy to go. From Da Nang city center, you go to Cu De river about 23km, about 5km from Hai Van pass. You can travel by motorbike or car (maximum 16 seats). You can search the map "Hoa Bac Campground" and follow the instructions. And of course, like the previous outings, I continue to accompany my familiar motorbike. Sitting on a motorbike helps me see the beauty of Cu De River from many different angles.

Picnic party with friends

The main purpose for my trip this time is an outdoor picnic by the river with close friends. I chose for myself a convenient and flat spot to put out the dishes prepared at home to start this party. I made rice rolls, simple but delicious. In addition, I also bring a lot of fruit, maybe because it is both delicious and beneficial to the skin of girls like me, we bought a lot of fruits such as watermelon, apple, orange, ...😅

We had a good time eating and talking, these are close friends from the same university as me. Although I only studied for 2 years at the school and then stopped studying, our friendship did not stop there. We will continue to go through the sorrows together and share the joys together forever 🥰.

After eating, we went to take pictures. The scenery here is really great. Even though I'm not too pretty, I still have the best pictures of myself 😅. Hope you don't criticize it 😅.

And let you know that the ideal time to visit is around 2pm. At this time, the weather is cool, it took me about 1 hour and 30 minutes to drive here. After arriving, you can take pictures while it is still light and wait to watch the sun go down ☀️. Watching the sunset here is beautiful. Sitting in front of the green river and looking at the sun is slowly descending the mountain, the night is slowly falling and the lights of the houses in the distance are lighting up, creating a moment of peace and beautiful photos .

Rowing SUP ‍♀️

Tadaa... the most interesting activity that you should try when coming here is SUP rowing. I can't swim and am very scared of water but I finally had the courage to step on the SUP and paddle out into the middle of the river. The water near the bank is quite shallow but rowing to the middle of the lake is really deep, which makes me quite nervous, but after rowing for a while, I felt that this activity was all interesting. All I need to do is just keep my balance and paddle with the water and it will be very easy. Sitting on the SUP in the middle of the river and looking around, all the sadness disappeared and my soul was filled with happy feelings.

I finished my outing at 6pm and left regretfully because I couldn't bear to leave the beautiful scenery here. I will definitely come back here to enjoy these happy moments in the near future. And note that this is a public place, so please keep it very carefully by not littering while camping here so that this land always keeps its beauty.
