When it comes to playing games on Hive, if I have to be sincere with you, I am not a fan of games.

I hardly play games. Even if I ever do, the only game that is on my phone is Scrabble. I love Scrabble so much because it was introduced to me in my teenage years.

And I am not sure there is anything like that on Hive yet. So, I am not a fan of online gaming because any of these games can become addictive at any point in time. And I don't want anything to take my precious time.

Every 24 hours is a precious 24 hours. I have seen a lot of posts too that is talking about games on Hive. And I know that Hive is a big ecosystem that goes beyond just writing posts and commenting.

But when it comes to the ecosystem of games, I am not just into it. In fact, I am not sure I have tried one before. Whereas when I was younger, I could play games for long.

In fact, I used to play football till late in the night before returning back home. But as time goes on, work and projects get in the way. Learning new things gets in the way too.

There is also something that is addictive when it comes to gaming. And my greatest fear is becoming addictive to what I am supposed to get myself out of. That is one of the reasons why I don't subscribe to games like that.

If it's a game that deals with strategy, I might be in. But if it's just for the fun of it and it's not adding any technical knowledge to me, I might pass. Though I think after this post, I will have to go and search for games on Hive and see the one that I am conversant with.

And I am sure there are enough communities around many of these games that can really point me in the right direction. I have seen people show off their Splinterland card. I don't know maybe that was a game or betting or it looks like Monopoly and the likes.

But it's something that I will check out later. I know that a reward can make gaming more interesting. So one of the factors that I am going to consider if the game is addictive or not is the reward.

If it's rewarding me for the game, I know that I am not wasting my time. I am getting something out of it at the end of the day and I can stay because of that. But if the game is time consuming and at the same time I can't really find any life value added to me for that period of minutes or hours that I am playing the game, I might have to pass.

I understand why people find so many games very addictive. Games were meant to be. Something to keep you keep coming back, a level, a new race to run and you want to collect coins or lives and many more.

I may not be a serious gamer, which I have agreed, but I understand that people keep coming back to game. And many of these games have some things that keeps them on the edge, which is the challenge that keeps coming, the progress, the community, the competition, the little victories that you can share all around. Those are things that make gaming very interesting.
