Yeah, I know that feeling, getting mad or uncomfortable about X (formerly twitter) for its platform changes ever since the billionaire businessman Elon Musk took over the wheels. $41 billion, a money that has been assumed could buy over thirteen top European football clubs. He took it to twitter (now X), was it just for the tweets? Lols, maybe we could discuss this another day.

Could remember I wrote a post on profit or satisfaction: what future businesses hold , I am not here to criticize any businessman on how he should do his business though an ethical practice should be best prioritized. Twitter is not a do or die affair, sometimes I wish we could understand this; we would just take our presence to where we feel more valued. The surfacing of web 3 platforms are not for fancy, it's a display of decentralization. I know it may not be easy after spending many years to build a presence and an audience on a web 2 social media like X but have to abandon it to create a new one. Hmmm, have you wished web 3 surfaced before twitter did in 2006, at least you would have had a real taste of decentralization.

X is a centralized system which is liable to operate as it deems fit. Note, not as you may deem fit. That's what the future of centralization holds which has continued to inconvenience the consumer base.

Twitter assumed a flop buy

The $41 billion transaction swap for twitter has been seen as a flop buy by many. The question here is was it bought out of ego or vision?. Seeing how many high companies could be accumulated with such amount. Why did Mr. Musk not just create his own social media? Hmmm, some question will be left pending for time to reveal and one that has first been revealed is the bluetick. Did you even see it coming?

Bluetick Emergence

We all heard some few months ago when twitter(now X) announced the introduction of bluetick, creating a platform for subscribed users. $8 dollar monthly payment was the price for the bluetick. Users felt uncomfortable, yet it prevailed. Do you think Mr. Musk doesn' t punch the calculator, he needs to close down the $41 billion gap soonest. Funny enough I must say in business its always the masses that pay for the expenses. Am I citing Mr. Musk, no, just trying to tell us the influence of centralization on social networks. Anything is possible.

From Bluetick to $1 registration Fee

It all depends on what you think Mr Musk bought twitter (now X) for; to stay in a minus $41 billion stands, which makes X seem a liability or look for ways to crawl out and turn it to an asset. What did he say the implementation was for? Oh, to curb bots. Hahaha, do you think $1 can curb bots on X? How can anyone planning to implement bots not be capable of paying $1 for a yearly fee. All these are part of the $41billion countdown I must say.

" Any plan a man has, unless he succeeds is foolishness "---dani-asi. Musk bought X and it has been claimed a foolish decision to spend such amount on a single social network. So what if Musk soons comes back to boast of gains. Analytics are running on daily bases check mating if X will soon be on gaining ways and if it happens soon, then it can be concluded it was not a foolish decision after all. Though it may be inconveniencing, the masses will have to pay for it, this is usually viewed as an unethical advantage of centralization. Musk did not buy twitter(now X) to play fair, he now owns all users data.

I heard its currently applicable to new users in Philippine and New Zealand. Hmmm, a test running that may soon reach all. Am just wondering why he decided to start there. Any one who may have such enlightenment should do well to inform me. You know looking at the mass adoption of twitter in the US and even Nigeria, why did he skip both?

Wrapping things up I must say, actions portrayed by X may be very inconveniencing for user but what more can you expect from a centralized system. You may not know what power means when even adding to a business system. On the otherhand, Mr. Musk seems out the close the $41 billion gap, a decision many feel its too forceful and he may end up loosing users. Elon is just used to selling to a specific class of people, I mean you know not everyone can afford a Tesla car. I don't think this really bothers him, which can also be of advantage to web 3. Don't be surprised if he implement something else soonest. Mr Musk has set his timer and the countdown seem only for $41 billion recovery.
