Monumental landscape of the Andes Mountains in Merida Venezuela/ Paisaje monumental de la Cordillera de los Andes en Mérida Venezuela

El recorrido a estos paisajes naturales se llega por medio de automovil, especificamente por la troncal 007 perteneciente al Estado Merida, construida bajo el mandato del General Juan Vicente Gomez cerca del año 1925, una obra de gran envergadura que amerito gran demanda de mano de obra.

Decretado Zona de Reserva Forestal denominada Parque Nacional Sierra Nevada en el año 1959.

Durante el recorrido se puede apreciar la majestuosidad de la Sierra Nevada, asi como la necesidad de llevar un buen abrigo por la altura a medida que se va ascendiendo el frio es mas intenso, a continuacion les presento varias imagenes tomadas por mi persona en diferentes viajes realizadas al paramo merideño ya que mi ciudad natal es Merida.

Luego de conducir de 2 a 3 horas aproximadamente llegamos a destino la Laguna de Mucubaji ubicada a 3655 metros sobre el nivel del mar con un frio bastante impresionante tipico de esta region con vegetacion de abundante frailejon.

After driving for approximately 2 to 3 hours we arrive at our destination, the Mucubaji Lagoon located at 3655 meters above sea level with a very impressive cold typical of this region with abundant frailejon vegetation.
