The coziest place around 🛋

My mom loves to make the rooms in her house stand out and become special places. Pretty much every room in my parent's house is unlike most rooms you would normally see in an average home. My mom spends countless hours finding ways to combine unique decorations with attractive and useable furniture. The result will make you want to chill there for hours and even take some photographs. The rooms become nothing short of feng shui and art masterpieces. All of this while keeping a reasonable budget and staying smart with each decision.

I have yet to visit since it has been fully finished, but I was there when the new couch got delivered and I saw everything without the items on the wall. I can say that it feels like a very refreshing place to gather. This very same room used to be my cold and dark bedroom, but now it serves as a place that is far more inviting and comfortable.
You may know me as someone who loves bright colors, but I also can show affinity towards a lighter tone and less color. Seeing what is going on in the basement now makes me very happy. Everything is new and the space has helped to make my childhood home still feel like home, yet revamped.
The curtains and geometrical square objects between the candles on the wall are my favorite things design-wise. The rug and couch are both so soft and create the perfect place to lounge. Of course, I love that balanced tv stand with a new Samsung 4K. If you look closely, you will spot the custom pillow that reads "I Love My Pomeranian Fritzy". Even the dog of the house is getting some recognition in this room.

I think my mom did a kick-ass job re-designing the basement, what about you?
