Thor: Ragnarok (2017) and Black Panther (2018) reviews

It's just been a blur of Marvel Movies at this point, and man it's a bit more intimidating than I thought it would be. Different storylines, characters, it gets a little confusing. Surprisingly it gets tiring as well. It's hard to remember them all.

When I watched Thor and Black Panther, I was fatiguing really bad but I pushed through.

Both of these movies were better than the first Spiderman movie I watched previously.

Forgive me if these movie reviews are not exactly awesome thanks to the reasons I mentioned.

Thor: Ragnarok

I've come to the conclusion I am a fan of Thor. When the first Thor was made in 2011 (ten years holy crap) I wasn't really impressed by him, but his character and films have grown on me a lot.

The whole fantasy, Norse/Scandinavian vibes I really like. I was even enjoying the little moments of irish sounding music that was played.

This movie was perfectly hilarious. I think this movie included a really fun group of characters. I could be missing some, but Thor, Hulk aka Bruce Banner, and Loki all were hilarious together. I enjoyed the brotherhood energy that was shared in the film between the characters. Thor's family dynamic has been entertaining in general

I could easily re-watch these movies. I think I will watch the Thor series by itself back to back. I know another on is coming out pretty soon.

Thor and Ant-Man are notable favorites so far.

Black Panther

Black Panther was better than Spiderman, not as good as Thor: Ragnarok.

I like a lot of Black Panther. I like the honor and respect vibes that Wakanda has. They respect tradition and things like that if that makes sense. I like it.

I read a lot of fantasy books and Wakanda having five distinct nations within the country I find cool. It makes my imagination go about how their country runs and interacts, a lot of potential storylines. Their fifth country living isolated in the mountains instantly intrigued me. I wanted to know more about that tribe/country whatever it was.

I was really tired when I was watching this one, but there was a good villain in this one. I feel like when the villain had his moment of success and T'Challa came back from near death, T'Challa's character and personality shined and became more likable to me. Not that he wasn't really likable the whole time, but in the moments his country needed him from his evil cousin his character seemed to develop a lot in a good way.

Both of these were solid additions to the Marvel franchise. I'm really starting to enjoy and respect the Marvel Universe more than I did before. It's a trip watching a decade of blockbuster films like this.

Next up, Ant Man and The Wasp! (Avengers Infinity war post coming)
