Do you buy the Splinterlands Mystery Potion?

For the 1st time I bought 10 Mystery Potions + 1 Free and got an Untamed Booster Pack as reward. What you get could be all over the place. But there's chance to win some massive rewards like Gold Foil Promo cards.

I've got a feeling most players don't buy them. Here's why I'm asking.

I don't know if I can invest the time and effort needed to earn back the $10 joining fee for Splinterlands, so I am not planning to join.
