German Pianist, composer, electronic music producer, live-performer, sounds engineer and owner of the recording studio in Berlin. Coming from the artistic family, Nils since the youngest years was surrounded by many instruments, inspirations and ideas. Musical childhood led him to the low point at the age 13, when he was determined to quit playing and focus on being pilot or astronaut. Wisely motivated by his father, Nils tried his skills in electronic keyboard, exploring completely new areas of music, world of synthesizers, amplifiers, mixing desks, tape machines and artificial instruments, developing heavy interest in creating and re-designing completely new forms of sounds. In the portfolio of this multi-awarded composer, we can find 21 long play albums, including the newest one Empty released this year, during lockdown. Special credits for YouTube algorithm recommendations, which helped me to find Nils Frahm under the song of ultracreative one-girl-army Kelly Moran, presented few days ago on #a-zmusic.
