The New-Age Digital Frontier

Imagine a world where governments and banks don’t have control over the way you allocate and spend your resources. Although this might sound like a fairytale, the crypto community is making strides towards a more decentralized network of payments and useful applications. The constantly evolving digital space is catching the eye of everyone from your average-joe to billionaires across the globe.

Let’s face it… it’s highly unlikely that we can completely relinquish government control to a certain extent. Nations around the world will do everything in their power to not be overthrown but we can find ways around constant surveillance and regulation. If you’re lucky enough, you live in a country that claims to have freedom. While this sounds amazing, what we tend to forget is that our “freedom” can be stolen from us in the blink of an eye.

This isn’t a call to march down to your local government offices or bank and attempting to overthrow them by any means. This is about us, the peers, within a new digital frontier attempting to disrupt and dismantle the traditional methods of value, currency, and the overall internet as a whole. The consistently evolving and innovative blockchain technologies amongst our favorite crypto ecosystems are doing just that.

Decentralization is changing our perspectives on how what was once the norm isn’t all it’s chalked up to be. Censorship is a common issue around the world and, with our traditional Web 2.0, it doesn’t appear to be changing for the greater good. Government entities only want you to see what benefits them and are quick to ban anything that goes against it.

With no single entity controlling a decentralized ecosystem, it’s extremely difficult to control or resist access to it. Anyone in the world with internet access is able to take part and contribute to the network. This gives us the freedom to transact and communicate with people outside of our norms.

When utilizing decentralized finance, we don’t necessarily have to worry about the unlimited and free-will of printing fiat currency at random. Currently, there are no rules as to when a government system can print more money. This is a cause for concern, as the money that we work for has the full capacity to be completely useless without our consent.

Within the vast world of crypto and the way it operates, there’s a certain set of rules engraved in code. The code does not waiver for anyone, regardless of your status. Unlike laws, codes cannot be altered and, if the coding is due for a change, it must be voted and agreed on by the community. This instills a trustless system of each individual working together towards the greater good of the ecosystem.

In a decentralized environment, there’s no need or want to bar individuals from getting access to the network. There’s also no worrying about how you’re going to make a transaction with someone halfway across the globe by exchanging your local currency.

We are at the brink of the new digital frontier. A world where we aren’t worried about whether or not our government is going to restrict access to what we want to see and how we want to interact with each other. A world where everyone plays a part in making the entirety of the network successful.

Personally, I believe that this change to how we operate during our daily lives will bring a greater sense of unity and respect to all those involved in it!
