Robben started playing football at an early age as he started playing for the local club in Bedum at the age of 5.
He played there until the 2000 season, when at the end of that season, aged 12, he went to play for the Groningen youth team.

From day one at the new club, Robben was always treated in a special way, as everyone saw that he had enormous potential.

In the 2000/2001 season, Robben, aged 17, made his professional football debut.
Despite his team finishing 14th in the Bundesliga, Robben showed his talent.
At the end of this season he was called up to play as a titleholder in the Under-20 World Cup in the Netherlands.
The Netherlands were eliminated in the quarter-finals after a defeat by Egypt.

In the 2001/2002 season, despite Groningen having a bad season again, Robben played too much and began to attract the interest of big Dutch clubs.

At the end of the season Robben ended up being signed by PSV for 4 million euros.

The only trophy won was the German Super Cup.

In the 2011/2012 season, it was marked as the season of almost everything due to Bayern having reached all the finals of the competitions where they were and having lost all of them.

In the 2012/2013 season, Robben began to be questioned about his quality but he gave the best possible answer by winning all possible titles (Alamenha Super Cup, Bundesliga, German Cup and Champions League).

Absolute legend! I watched him play at Bayern and his dream volley against Manchester United is probably my most favorite goal ever! It was really a shame that he was injured so often :/

I started following him during his Chelsea days and he earned my admiration when I saw him in Real Madrid colours but I loved his trickery and mental strength when he joined and played for Bayern Munich. What a player he was.

His only weakness was the amount of injuries he suffered during the season. This meant that he could not succeed in other clubs such as Chelsea and Real Madrid.
