Somehow I didn't realize vote curation had been modified before I started my arbitrage code :D

I thought that curation was still affected by future votes but then I started researching and found out that there's no curation but your own 50% if all votes are earlier than 24h? (https://hive.blog/hive/@hiveio/hive-hardfork-25-is-on-the-way-hive-to-reach-equilibrium-on-june-30th-2021)

and that's like a 5 year old post. I'm so outdated on this.

There are some extra rewards only if ppl start voting after 24h. Say a bunch of voters come and vote between 24/48h, they won't be getting 50% back but 25%, and the other 25% will go into the curation pool, but that's after 24h when most ppl have voted. Then at around 72% it'll be 12.5% they're getting, the rest going into the pool.

So that's good but it only applies for mostly frontpage posts that get votes after 24h and before 7 days have passed.

I'm not entirely sure what to do now. I made a script that simply votes for frontpage stuff but I'm not sure I wanna use it. It's the best economic strategy but it's very weird.

I miss the old days when you could have an APR of over 20% if you voted a good posts before whales. Now you can't get more than 9%.

Same! They've slowly taken away all my ways to profit. All that remains is a poorly handled dhf that's just printing the value of hive away, whale vote farming but that's only available for people with whale friends, and running massive businesses on top of the chain.

Looking at it, I'm more unsure than ever about it. I'll test run a few posts and see how it goes. I just powered up like 100k hive thinking I could arbitrage the blockchain lol. I'll see of some self votes can save the day 😁
