It's dark like this at six pm in the evening because of the rain. It's been raining here for two days, so my husband didn't go out to buy fish, so he cooked something for us to eat last night with what we had at home.

We have a many banana trees outside the house, but this was the only banana heart left yesterday, so this is all my husband got, because we also let the bananas bear fruit. And it is also just right for the three of us. Because we also have meatloaf and eggs at home. Which my husband will also cook at the same time.

So this is how my husband cooks banana heart balls and meatloaf for our dinner.

First, he peeled the Banana heart; he only took the hard part and cut it into a single slice, as shown in the picture. I didn't get a picture the entire banana heart because I was taking care of my baby, and Im late because he had already cut it.

He placed it in a pot of medium water and boiled it for about 10 minutes.

Then he removed it from the pot and crushed it until it was small. Then he squeezed it until there was no more water, then added seasoning like salt, monosodium glutamate (or ajinomoto), a three slice of meatloaf , and egg for flavor before shaping it into round or banana heart balls.

He made banana heart balls with a spoon and fork before frying them in oil. Yes, he used a pot because that's all we had at home right now.

Finish Cooking

Charaaann! finished product, he's done frying all the banana heart balls he made hehe. I don't know if that's really what it's called; I just made it up since when making ball-shaped foods like meatballs and fish balls, they just put the balls in at the end. Hahaha, lol.

He proceeded to cook the meatloaf. He sliced and fried it first, then added the egg. Like in the picture. I'm not sure if it's just my husband who cooks meatloaf like this, or if you do too? Haha. Because I used to, I would immediately add the egg and fry it on low heat until both the meatloaf and the egg were cooked, haha. I know it is simple to prepare, but I still want to share it, nyehe.

He's done cooking. He told me that he just made sure that the meatloaf was really cooked before adding the eggs and fried it again. And he was right because the meatloaf he cooked was really delicious to eat; it makes you want to eat rice more. And his banana heart balls are also delicious, especially when dipped in ketchup. Hehe, I really enjoy our viand for this dinner. Hehe ^_^
