Are you succeeding in what you're doing in life and career? If I may ask, who or what is inspiring and motivating you?

No matter the level of success an individual has attained in life, he or she needs motivation to achieve more success. For instance, a big multinational corporation needs more motivations and inspiration from customers.

Some people are inspired by other people's successes in business, career and ministry, while others are motivated by other people's failure in certain areas of career and life.

Most people who are inspired by successful leaders are sometimes put into test when their mentors fail in certain areas of their life. People's failures is supposed to be a motivation and not a point of discouragement to their followers if they intend to succeed in life.

Things that motivates people

  1. Money and rewards
Ordinary people chase money because they believe it is the most important thing in life. They strive to earn as much money as possible without thinking about what they actually want to realize with it. While it is true that material things can bring happiness to some degree, it is also essential to have a concrete purpose.
  2. Helping others
Many successful people are not motivated primarily by financial gain but by the passion for helping others. They want to make the world a better place.
  3. Recognition
For many people, recognition is a powerful motivator. Whether it comes in the form of praise or prizes, recognition can help to inspire us to achieve our goals and push beyond our perceived limits.
  4. Power and Fame
Most people are motivated by power and Fame, most especially the political class and those aspiring for a place in authority. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Those that are motivated by this can go any length to achieve them.
