Me tocó consentirme. ¿Cómo les va? Hoy estoy solita en casa y la verdad que preparar alimentos para mí sola no me anima mucho. Pero debo alimentarme bien ya que el cuerpo y la mente lo requieren. Entonces tomé los ingredientes disponibles y me dispuse a preparar un rico almuerzo. 😋

It's my turn to pamper myself. How are you doing? Today I am alone at home and the truth is that preparing food for myself doesn't encourage me much. But I must eat well because my body and mind require it. So I took the available ingredients and set out to prepare a tasty lunch. 😋

Cocinar para mí sola no me divierte mucho. Generalmente yo antes de cocinar pregunto a los miembros de mi familia si les provoca o no cierto menú. En contadas ocasiones cocino a mi gusto. Así que hoy lo aproveché y con lo que primero que ví en la nevera preparé este rico almuerzo para mí.

Cooking for myself is not much fun. Generally, before cooking I ask my family members whether or not they like a certain menu. Rarely do I cook to my own taste. So today I took advantage of it and with the first thing I saw in the fridge I prepared this delicious lunch for myself.

🥒 Medio repollo pequeño.
🥒 Una zanahoria pequeña.
🥒 Medio kilo de yuca dulce.
🥒 Un pepino grande.
🥒 Cien gramos de carne molida.
🥒 Sal.
🥒 Orégano.
🥒 Aceite.
🥒 Mayonesa.

🥒 Half a small cabbage.
🥒 One small carrot.
🥒 Half a kilo of sweet yucca.
🥒 One large cucumber.
🥒 One hundred grams of ground beef.
🥒 Salt.
🥒 Oregano.
🥒 Oil.
🥒 Mayonnaise.

🥕 Empezamos pelando, lavando y picando la yuca.
🥕 Ponemos a hervir en agua salada
hasta que ablande.

🥕 We start by peeling, washing and chopping the yucca.
🥕 We put to boil in salted water
until it softens.

🥕 Mientras se ablanda la yuca preparamos la ensalada. Previamente lavamos con agua y vinagre el repollo, la zanahoria y el pepino.

🥕 Rallamos la zanahoria.

🥕 While the yucca is softening, prepare the salad. Previously wash the cabbage, carrot and cucumber with water and vinegar.

🥒 El pepino es un vegetal u hortaliza muy sabroso. Me encanta comerlo ya que es refrescante y jugoso. Lo ingiero con todas sus semillas. Para esta ensalada lo corté en cuadritos. Reservé unas rodajas para hacer las flores.

🥒 Cucumber is a very tasty vegetable. I love to eat it as it is refreshing and juicy. I eat it with all its seeds. For this salad I cut it into squares. I reserved a few slices to make the flowers.

🥕 Ahora juntamos los tres ingredientes, agregamos un punto de sal, al gusto y una cucharada de mayonesa.

🥕 Now we put the three ingredients together, add a pinch of salt, to taste, and a spoonful of mayonnaise.

🥩 Preparamos ahora las albóndigas. Mezclamos la sal y el orégano con la carne molida.
🥩 Formamos las bolitas y freímos en muy poco aceite.
🥩 Al estar cocidas y doraditas las retiramos del fuego.

🥩 Now prepare the meatballs. Mix the salt and oregano with the ground meat.
🥩 We form the balls and fry them in very little oil.
🥩 When they are cooked and golden brown, remove them from the heat.

🧆 Servimos y degustamos. Esta comida es sencilla, pero sabrosa, nutritiva y balanceada. Suficiente para saciar nuestro apetito y rendir en el trabajo o en los estudios. Solo quedará esperar la merienda o una tacita de café.
