First Day In School Year 2026 - June O8 Earthquake

Hello Hivers!

June 08, 2026 was the first day in school so May 31, Sunday, me and my driver had already travel to my workplace. To avoid stress riding motorcycle only, I changed everything for better. Before I traveled at dawn every Monday. Now, Sunday, after the mass, I need to go.

We arrived safely and the brother of my first working student Dodoy is now my driver. My first driver was already a licensed teacher. All his male siblings became my working students.

June O8, I was already ready for the day lesson as a Mathematics teacher. I was grateful I was still active teaching after my summer sickness. I never enjoyed my vacation but what I noticed, I have light feelings with faith in God. How He conformed me and reached all what I need financially. Everything met together. I also bought a new single motor which is low so I felt easy riding it.

This is the proof how beautiful was the morning of the first day in school. 100% of the students and teachers were so fresh wearing our new uniforms.

Student were listening the welcome address by our school head teacher. He inspired the students.

We were not finished in flag ceremony a strong earthquake happened and made us dizzy. We all sat down on the grass and stay calm without panic.

These were all taken during that time earthquake happened. We cancelled our class and let them go home being afraid of the after shock.

I was worried for my nephew and sons of my ex at home and the children of my nephew. I knew they were also in their school. There was no news where was the epicenter of that tragedy. I want to go home but it is also hard to do it maybe there's a landslide and we couldn't reach home. I just pray so hard and reflection came over myself.

I was still alive after my attack with my health. I spent a lot of money for medicine and now we experienced earthquake. If I felt worry, it would be affecting my well being. I entrust to God and surrender everything.

The following day, we heard it was in General Santos City where my granddaughters had a swimming competition. Happy to knew they got home in Panabo and didn't sleep in Gensan. After the competition they went home.

Another news shocked the whole Philippines about the death of Rene Baterbonia and Divine Adili, both students and athletes of Ateneo de Manila. It became the talked of the town and became trending.

*We were in the slope of the mountain valley. This is the 600 steps going there and going back to my house and room.
