"Turkish Fig' Season Returns!!
Hey everyone, so what prey is a Turkish fig?? Who knows but when you find out let me know it sounds delicious.
In all seriousness this is a prickly pear flower, the Afrikaans folks refer to this as a Turksfye, which literally translated is Turkish fig.
How they get turksvye from prickly pear who knows but languages sure are strange aren't they.
One of my favorite fruit which start to flower early spring and fruit mid summer. They literally grow all over this gnarly flat leaved cactus but really do taste amazing.
These are on this plot come in two different colors and produce amazing pollen for our honey bees too which is a bonus.
Nature the incredible.
I trust you had an amazing weekend?
Love light and blessings
Cheer$;)
