The Bees Are Relocating.

Hey everyone, this is not such a common site, but when it happens so incredible to see. I just took a walk with Jesse, him on my shoulders we almost walked into this magical phenomenon of nature.

So what is happening here many ask and few know? Been the bee keeper I am know exactly what this is all about. In a high honey flow the bees split off. The old queen packs her goodies and takes 60% of her workers with her to find a new home. The Queen is much larger than workers now
no-where near as fit and can't fly for long bursts. So she does so in small burts followed by her swarm.

The plan was to come.back at 5pm and catch this swarm. Sadly when we did as suspected they may do... they left.

My cute 2 year old in the backdrop chillin watching Daddy. I told him to stay there such a little champ he listens so we'll and did just that. "Daddy don't touch" such a cute little smarty pants.
