Incubating my first Broiler Eggs

Hey everyone, with the imminent food shortages on the rise many folks are making plans to become more sustainable regarding their food resources.

I recently got 50 extra broiler eggs from my supplier so decided to take the chance and hope for a solid 21 days of no load shedding, alas just 2 days in the power went out. What a disaster again, but keep trying we shall.

The power was off for about 5 hours so started the machine up and hoped for the best. Alas another 6 hours later power off again. What a disaster I need solar this is not how it's done, but continue the experiment I shall.

This is a manual incubator, meaning that the eggs need to be turned regularly 3-5 times a day with your hands which I do. Now if the electricity just plays along just maybe I will get some semblance of a hatch rate, will keep you posted.
