This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

Another week with some profit which is nice even though I feel it could easily gone the other way with some fortunate late goals that did make quite a big difference.

I'm finally starting to get on a run this season and things right now feel very different similar to previous years. This now was the 5th profitable week in a row and the biggest one so far this season. All despite still keeping my stakes on the low and and mostly spreading risk between different betting options on the same side. A big part of is for sure is luck not being against me right now (aside from the unjustified disallowed goal from Club Brugge who otherwise also didn't really play as good as I anticipated)

So yeah, things seem to be back to business as usuall after a really difficult start this season. One of the things that suck in betting is that moving up or down in stakes usually works against you. I took the courage to stake a bit more at the start when but didn't want to push my luck and moved down quite quickly which saved me a lot of units. Now when things go well again most of the good weeks came with lower stakes and there is no guaratee for this good run to continue in case I would stake more again. I do have some more breathing space again though in case this uptrend would just be temporary.

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2023-2024

I only had 1 pre-game bet good enough to make it into a bold selection and it ended up winning even though the opponent looked like the better team over the 90 minutes. I'm still not sure if the Westerlo win was luck or just a good strategy that made them look worse than they really are. regardless, I'm happy to take the units and I'm only down just over -2 units on the season on these bets which is nothing given how poortly things have gone so far. That is still +38 units over the last 4 seasons which in the end is what counts most.

Regular Season 2023-2024 Personal Betting Chart

With 50 bets in total I only staked 4.542 units meaning the average at the moment is extremely low. However many were on similar sides so combined they do add up the somewhat decent stakes. The chart now also looks like an uptrend that has developed and at this pace I still have a chance to end the season with profit which is my goal still. I will need to increase my stakes a bit for this to potentially happen though. I'm now just down 4 units on the season which still is considerable but at least the bleeding seems to have stopped.
