This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

Even though I didn't manage to make any profit in the first week back after the international break, I am starting to get a bit more optimistic even though I keep the realism up. I continue to take things slow not forcing anything and just getting in some bets on spots I believe have some value. Last week easily could have turned a good profit but variance really mostly was against me or at least I believe that. Looking backwards at the week, there surely were some spots where lines were way off and finding those going forward while avoiding the opposite remains the main objective.

I could have easily ended the week with a 0.15 unit profit if I held back on a betting spot I saw late in the last match. However I'm already having not enough volume so I took it anyway which was the right move even though it didn't play out that way.

Regular Season 2023-2024 Personal Betting Chart

I'm still ranging way down compared to the expected profit but I'm fine with it kind of considering this already a 'lost year' even though I still aim to end it with a profit. At least things are flattening out and at some point in time it's inevitable to get in a winning run. My stakes continue to go down but I kind of picked up some confidence and am going to aim toward 0.4 unit flat bets going forward or at least close to that.

Probably you do learn more from this period than the previous seasons. It was hard in the past week to make a profit in the JPL. Some holdups and surprising results, like Cercle loosing away at RWDM. Not so much that they did loose but they even didn't had a chance on winning the game.
