My Hive Goals For January 2024

While I stayed active on Hive during the entire bear market, I plan to increase my overall involvement a bit more going forward in 2024. These are my personal goals for January 2024...

Increased Engagement!

I have never been the most engaged member of the platform as most of my effort goes to making content. I remember the early days were I was a lot more active and managed to make a lot of friends which was plenty of fun but also very time-demanding. I've always compounded my Staked Hive and mostly had curation on Auto-Pilot. I haven't changed that or discovered new or existing bloggers in a long time so the coming month I will browse the platform a lot more trying to make some new friends around here and doing some manual curation re-organising met auto-voting on hive.vote

Leasing Extra Hive Power!

As a way to give myself extra motivation, I started leasing some extra hive power on hive.dlease.io so my votes can be spread around more making it all worth more the effort. I already got a couple of leases filled and I hope to add more to these the coming weeks.

Complete my @upvoteshares Curation Project!

I created this way back in 2018 as a way to give quality content creators reliable small-mid-sized upvotes on their posts in a fair way regardless of the content they bring (as long as effort is put into it) or the need to get lucky getting picked up by curation programs. This so far has been a great success with the model working exactly as intended.

It works in levels where each time the price goes up giving value to the owners of the shares making it most rewarding to be in Hive for the long run. I only have 2 levels left to go with 1 of them having all shared burned after which I consider the project complete to run in auto-mode afterward. My aim is to fully get this done in January!

Making More Crypto Conetent Again!

One the things I always wanted to achieve while blogging was to have it as a tool for myself to do better ing Betting/Crypto/Play2earn Gaming/... With the crypto market getting hot, I noticed that I got rather lazy on the crypto end still needing to look deeper into many of the newer projects. So my aim is to do this on a regular basis and start a series where I have a deeper look into individual altcoins just so I get to know them better. I however don't really want to make more than 1 post a day but January could be an exception to this.

Continue My Regular Content!

I have gotten in a good routine these past 7 years making previews on all Belgian Football matches and keeping close track of the actual results. I also continue to make 2 Splinterlands posts weekly because I enjoy doing those and the upvotes from the Splinterlands Curation are a ton of help to grow which so far I always re-invested in the game. I also made a habit of making 1 Sorare post each week and I make a weekly report on my GambleFi Portfolio which has been a ton of fun.

My Current Schedule during the Football Season Looks like this

  • Monday: Betting Results Report
  • Tuesday: GambelFi Portfoluo Update
  • Wednesday: Weekly Sorare Post
  • Thurday: Splinterlands Social Media Challenge / Europe League Previews
  • Friday: Friday Football Preview
  • Saturday: Saturday Football Previews
  • Sunday: Sunday Football Previews
  • Sunday; Splinterlands Battle Challenge

Get Up Tp Date With Hive Developments

One of this things is that it's hard to keep up with things that are going on. I saw that Leofinance rebranded to inleo but I have yet to find the time to look deeper into this. This is also something I aim to get caught up on in January!

Conclusion

With the next 2 years looking bullish for the crypto space and the price of Hive yet having to move a lot, it feels like a good time to finally get a bit more active again on the platform and grow my reach. That is what I aim to do the coming month and I also started to lease some extra Hive Power to help me with this!

From what I have seen this are the good times to stay active, when there is not that much noise and less users, you tend to get more eyes on your content, I have been participating on Inleo and Ecency trying to engagement as much as possible, trying to break that $1 mark per post still but its no easy job, still have so more time to let my account mature, besides I was not that active last year, on my first year more like an experiment to see if I can make it work but for 2024 I have higher goals and expectations, btw didnt know you could lease Hive, how does spread votes work? you mean like have more HP so you can vote for more users? , keep it going, 2024 is going to be a great year for Hive ✌️

Everyone has 10 x 100% votes a day, but the more Hive Power you have the more smaller votes are worth also so it's easier to spread them around. Good luck reaching the 1$ mark. I'm mainly using hive.blog still to browse the site as I have a hard time to get used to Peakd. Just so you know, on hive your posts for some reason doesn't properly show the images (at least from what I see). I't actually kind of weird, here on my laptop when in full screen mode the thumbnails don't show, but when I make my browser smaller they do show. The posts themselves don't show the images regardless but everything shows properly on Peakd.

If you have any idea how this comes please let me know.

ok then as I thought more HP can spread more the small votes, yeah most front ends have been having problems with images and all kind of issues, ecency, inleo, peakd

Active making posts but not so much exploring the platform let alone socialising a bit. I hope to ramp that up a bit the coming month.

I see what you mean. I'm trying to push it for myself too since a few weeks now.

Looking good, but is all the gaming worth the time spent?

I always need to enjoy it to be able to spend time on it and it also can't take too much time. Splinterlands is the only game that goes against this. The combination of smaller earnings does add up though especially with prices on the increase.
