The first instance related to a particular thing will be remembered by us forever like First School, First movie we watched, First car brand and color and so on.
Likewise, here I am presenting you the movie I watched way back in 2000 when I was all of 19 year old.
Well, from the heading you already know the title of the movie, yes, it's The Sixth Sense, a film written and directed Manoj Night Shyamalan.
Film is listed under genre thriller and there are few scary scenes in the movie, but no horror kind of thing.
We know the surprise ending Shyamalan introduces in his movies and there was a surprise ending in this movie as well which we will discuss a bit later :)

The Plot:

So, the movie is all about a child psychiatrist Malcolm Crowe portrayed by Bruce Willis and a Nine year old boy Cole Sear.
Well, Malcolm Crowe sees a surprise guest in his bathroom, a kid whom he had treated and that kid says something and shoots at Malcolm and then shoots himself.
When Malcolm wakes up, he meets Cole Sear and tries to help him with regards to the problem Cole has with him able to talk to dead people.
Malcolm wants to utilize Cole's extra power to help the dead people to finish their business and send their spirit to away.
Likewise he gets to know about some dead people's issues and solves them by reaching their relatives and house and helps them to attain afterlife.
When Malcolm returns home, he gets to know that he is already dead as his wife is lying and asks him questions in sleep!!!!

So, the twist in this story is the surprise ending with the hero not knowing that he is already dead until the end of the movie!!!!

Bruce Willis is neat with his acting as he always does and the Cole character kid is wonderful too.

Thrilling moments in this movie:

The first being the kid Vincent in their bathroom with a gun pointing at Malcolm
Second, when Malcolm gets to know about Cole being able to communicate with dead people.
Likewise, there are few moments which makes us glue to the chair and enjoy the unexpected moves in this movie.

Seems the money spent on this movie including prints and media was about US$ 65 million and the movie for the First 5 weeks had grossed about US$ 20 million each each week and overall Worldwide gross collection of US$ 672 million!!!!!!
Interestingly, this movie was number 1 for 5 weeks from it's opening.
Although this movie didn't win any Academy Awards*, it had 6 nominations including the Best Director nomination for M Night Shyamalan who had a consolation in winning Empire Award for Best Director category.

Bruce Willis movies makes me glue to the chair and I am a big fan of his acting and watched many movies acted by him including the Die Hard series, Armageddon, Sin City and others.
Thanks for the support from all of you and I hope you are safe wherever you are and CoVid 19 is not affecting you much.

Take Care.

Have a good day :)

I remember exactly when I saw this movie, because I went with a girl I liked. I didn't want to see it, but she did. I listened to her and we went in to see it. wow! What an amazing twist at the end. It was a hit and from that moment on we all expect the director to do a surprise twist in all his movies. great movie!

That's nice to re-collect those memories of you watching this movie with your girl.
Yep, M Night Shyamalan's movies are known for such twists and I think that's because of this movie since this seems to be First such movie with a twist in the end.

Thanks for stopping by, Have a good day :)

One of the best and most unexpected twists in the history of cinema. This film is classic of the suspense genre and it scared me when I was a little kid, which is when I first saw this film. This twist, and the one from the movie The Others, were really mind-blowing for my young mind.

Very true.

Most of M Night Shyamalan's movies are thriller ones like The Village, The Happening, Split and even Glass.

It will be wrong if I say I didn't get scared when watching this movie ;) I am not a big fan of horror kind of movies and yes, there was definitely some scare while watching this.

Thank you for the visit, have a good day ahead :)

I love thriller and action movies and that made me like some of his other movies as well just because of those twists he started implementing in his movies after The Sixth Sense movie's success with that twist in the end.

Overall, I felt his movies are decent and keeps one guessing about the next scene.

Thanks for stopping by, have a good day bro :)
