Saved By Tears

Tina is a girl who grew up in a town named Ore. She was raised by her uncle after the death of her parents. Her parents had an accident on their way to pick her up from her school. This got her so quiet. Tina does not always talk to people but she is a brilliant girl. Everyone in her school loves her and always loves to be with her. She was given a scholarship after the school heard of her parent's death. The uncle later abducted her and she became so glued and precious to her uncle. Her uncle's name is Joe. Joe loves Tina even more than his children. Joe never wants to make Tina look sad and does not want her to feel lonely so that she will not be able to remember the incident that happened to her parents.

Uncle Joe has a wife, Matter and two children, Hannah who happens to be female and Faruq (male). Immediately after the death of Tina's parents, Uncle Joe called his wife and two children who are already of the same age as Tina to always take care of Tina. Uncle Joe told his family to always take Tina as their sister and told his wife to also look at Tina as her child. This was a statement from Uncle Joe and his family never doubted him. Uncle Joe also told his children that they should not look biased anytime he is taking Tina's side and should always know that he's going to take care of them equally.

Faruq has a friend whose name is Mavo. Mavo is in a class ahead of Tina. Tina always helps Mavo and Faruq in solving some difficult problems and in teaching them any topic that seems difficult for them in class, although she's a class lower than them. What she does is to take Faruq's notes and textbooks related to the subjects and after reading and studying for just a few hours, she would have grabbed everything in the topic. She's so good at reading, solving problems and understanding any form of topics given to her. Tina always comes first in her school which made all the teachers, as well as the principal in her school, love her so much. All the students in her school want to be with her because of her uniqueness and expertise.
Tina and Mavo, Faruq's friend, started falling for each other as there was great love in the eyes of Mavo for Tina. One faithful day, they were given enough time to play with each other outside where Tina and Mavo had to go out to play. They were excited about being together as they were allowed to profess their love for each other. Their love became stronger and was no longer in secrets. This means it has been made open even to the knowledge of Tina's uncle. Uncle Joe has one way or the other talked to Tina to stop the relationship because she's too young for this but Tina only listened without considering her uncle's word. Uncle Joe later told her again that she should be careful as it is always sweet in the beginning but sad at the end. Tina reasoned Uncle Joe's last words that entering into a relationship is always sweet in the beginning but sad at the end.

Tina started giving Mavo a break as she had to listen to her Uncle's words. She was still in love but was not able to prove it as she had to listen to her Uncle and also would be good to remain with her stands. So, Mavo did not know if Tina still had feelings for him and he was burning inside of him with love. She later fell sick which happened to be severe. This sickness was so severe that they have looked for means to treat him but all effort was abortive. It was so sad that Tina was unaware that Mavo was ill. She was not seeing him in school and could not ask anyone to know his whereabouts.

One fateful Monday, Tina was not comfortable
in the class and decided to at least ask her classmates instead of her cousin, Faruk. They were not able to give details of what was happening to Mavo. She was worried and heartbroken. Tina could not focus in class but was just thinking of Mavo all through and so she decided to go to Mavo's house after school to visit him but did not meet anyone at home.

Tina needed to know what happened to Mavo and so, she decided to sneak out of the school compound to Mavo's house. When he got there, he did not see him nor his parents, so he wanted to know by all means what had happened to Mavo and so Tina decided to ask people around which got him to know that Mavo was ill. Mavo's parents had already taken him to a herbalist since the hospital could not detect what was wrong with him. Tina was so touched and worried not knowing what to do. So, she decided to go back to school. When her uncle discovered that Tina was very sad. Uncle Joe asked Tina after seeing her mood, "What is wrong with her?" She responded,'' I'm fine. With the look of things, you are not fine. Tell me what is wrong with you? Uncle Joe asked her once again. Mavo is ill and I don't know where he is right now. I just need to go see him wherever he might be because he is not at home. Tina responded. Don't worry, I will make a call to know where he is through his dad's phone. Uncle Joe told Tina to make her mood calm. He added, now you can smile for me. Tina puts up a fake smile.

The next day, Uncle Joe had put a call across to Mavo's dad and he had known where exactly they were. He then took her down to the herbalist's place where he saw Mavo lying down unconscious and helpless. Tina could not hold it and instead burst into tears. She began to cry bitterly. Mavo, on the other hand, had heard her cry deep inside but cannot raise his hands nor can she open his eyes. The herbalist had tried his best but could not solve the problem mavo was in and could not see any means of helping or healing him. The herbalist signals Mavo's dad and talks to him to hold his heart that with what he has observed, Mavo cannot make it through. He is only struggling for his life and will soon be gone. Meanwhile, Tina heard the conversation and immediately ran to where Mavo was lying down and quickly told him that "you will not die. You can't leave me alone right here. We have promised each other to love each other for eternity. So, you will not die.

After some minutes, Tina kept on crying and she placed her face directly opposite to Mavo's face. She kept on shedding tears and a drop from her tears dropped on Mavo's mouth. Tina kept on crying critically until Mavo woke up and immediately grabbed Tina by her hands. He called her, "my Tina, I have missed you so much". You have saved me from passing out. Tina was shocked and shouted, Mavo has woken up. Immediately, Mavo's parents rushed to where Mavo was lying down. His mum hugged him with tears rolling down her chicks. Without wasting time, they took him home.

After getting home, Mavo began to tell his parents to thank Tina for saving him. They were surprised because they could not figure out how Tina managed to save him. How did she save you? Did she give you some drugs or something to take? Mavo's mum asked maliciously. Then, Mavo responded, "her tears woke me from death. I would have been far gone if not for Tina's tears. So, her love for me saved me". When Tina got home with Uncle Joe, she was still surprised and at the same time happy with how Mavo got out from death. Uncle Joe asked Tina if she gave Mavo something to drink that woke him up but she replied no. I was also surprised by this as well. Tina responded.

After two days, Tina went to visit Mavo and to her surprise, Mavo's parents began to thank her for the good she has done for their son. Mavo's mum said, " you saved him from dying". Mavo came out after hearing Tina's voice. He hugged Tina and told her to thank him. I will always love you forever and will ⁴never leave your side ever. Thank you for saving me. Tina was short of words. How did I save you? Tina asked Mavo. You saved me through your tears. After receiving a drop of your tears in my mouth, I got saved. Mavo replied. She was so happy to have him back and also happy for not losing him. I love you too and will always love you forever. The few days we were not together, I have been dying inside of me silently. Tina told Mavo. This was my feeling as well. Mavo responded.

Yes...I'm alive to see you once again.
