Impersonal friendship
T-Boy is someone who happened to be lazy. He does not want to work nor does he want to fight for his right. The only thing he loves doing is to sit and watch his friend go out to fight for food. His friend is called Joe.

T-Boy: What do you have in the house for me to eat?

Joe: I don't understand the question you are asking me.

T-Boy: I just asked a simple question and yet you failed to answer me. Guy, I beg you...I need to eat as I'm so hungry. You know I left for the football field to practice today. The coach has picked me to be the captain of the team.

Joe: wow…!!! That's so nice. Didn't he also give you some money to use for yourself since you have been appointed as the captain?

T-Boy: guy...it cannot be just this soon. We are still hoping to play a bigger match and after winning, we are all going to share the rewards.

Joe: That's great, but I think there is a sense with what you are saying. I was not ready to feed you any longer since you failed to look for something to do other than football that cannot bring you a penny, but with what you just said, go inside, I have prepared some foods, dish it and eat to your satisfaction.

T-Boy: This is why I always speak good of you. You are my best friend ever.

One fateful day, T-Boy got a huge amount of money from football as they played in a tournament. They emerged as the second on the table. He was so happy and got home that night.

T-Boy: how far? I'm seriously hungry and I don't have a dime with me. Hope you have prepared something to eat.

Joe: (filled with hope that one-day T-Boy will come home with a huge amount of money) yes there is food in the kitchen.

T-Boy: This is why I always speak well of you. I will never forget this favor you are doing for me. I will repay you greatly and handsomely when we complete the tournament.

Joe: I know you are going to reward me as your friend.

Joe has been working and using all his savings to feed T-Boy and also gives T-Boy pocket money.

T-Boy: Please, my friend, I need some money to transport to my coach house for a one on one discussion.

One fateful day when Joe was cleaning the house, he saw a huge lint of money kept in batches. He left the money untouched. When T-Boy came back from training, he asked him:
Have you won any tournament at all?

T-Boy: we are still hoping to win. We lost the other one we were playing. We came out as the last position.

Joe: Wow...this means you have not been sharing any money and you have not been given any money since all this while. You should quit since this is not bringing you any income. To me, I believe that you are just wasting your time in that team and also wasting your time playing football.

T-Boy: I'm not wasting my time as we will soon blow one day. It's just a matter of time. Just wait and see.

Joe is the type who doesn't love footfall and does not even love watching matches being played but he suddenly developed interest just because of the money he saw in T-Boy's custody. He went to meet the head coach of T-Boy and asked him in a way that he would not suspect "I heard you have not won any tournament since all this while". What do you think might have caused it?

Head Coach: who said we have not won any tournament? We have won more than eight tournaments and this recent one we are playing is in our favor. My players are enjoying themselves as we speak. The last one we played, we were each given a huge amount of money and the Governor of our state gave each player a huge sum of money.

Joe: wow...I'm not a football lover and have not been watching any of your games. So I only heard from one of my colleagues that your team is not the best. Maybe he was speaking of the team in the other street then. I must have heard wrongly. Please, you people should keep it up and keep moving to your peak.

Head coach: we will and thanks for your kind words.

When Joe got home, he was filled with anger and decided to take the money he saw without telling T-Boy. He was waiting for what he will say about the money and was also waiting for T-Boy to ask him for any money.

T-Boy: Hey...I'm finished. (Joe was in the house when he was searching without saying a word.) Who might have done that?

Joe: What is the problem?

T-Boy: em...em...em… nothing… buy something.

*Joe": Talk to me. What's the problem?

T-Boy: To be sincere, my head coach gave me some money to keep for him. The money is worth a good amount of money. I dropped the money in the house and now I'm looking for the money.

Joe: Do you say your money or whose money? (Trying to tease T-Boy).

T-Boy: I said the money belongs to my head coach.

Joe: how did he get the money? Who gave such an amount to him?

T-Boy: we won a tournament...I mean the money allocated for the tournament was given to him to keep until the tournament is over.

Joe: let me get something clear. Is this money for you or your Coach?

T-Boy: my Coach and why ask all these questions?

Joe: I met with your coach and he said you have been winning tournaments and you have been sharing money. So, why are you lying? I have been using my money to buy food in the house and now you want me to spend all my money thinking you have not been seeing money. What you have, means you are far richer than I.

T-Boy: (trying to apologize) I'm sorry.

Joe: There is no problem. Bit who is the rightful owner of the money you are looking for?

T-Boy: To be sincere, it is for me.

Joe: wow… The money is with me. I will remove the whole money I have been spending on you and will give the rest to you. Now, you have to leave my house because you are capable of harming me. You can kill. You are not a good friend.

T-Boy: please, I'm so sorry.

Joe: please, you have to leave my house because I don't have money to feed you as before.

T-Boy was a pretender who had savings but failed to tell his friend the truth. He was draining his friend while he has savings. To be sincere, he is capable of killing.

This was such a cool08 story ;)

The influence of friends is amazing. But many will take advantage of you until your last breath if it benefitted them. It is good that Joe saw T-Boy for the harmful person he is, maybe not to the full extent, but he saw enough and reacted.

Great writing.

T-Boy certainly learned his lesson. It's not clear how taking advantage of Joe financially means he might kill him, but Joe is right to kick him out for being a liar.
