Greedy Move

Mark has the ambition of becoming a politician right from his primary school. He has seen what the politicians always do and how they get their money. His aim for wanting to be a politician is to make peace and to be a better one. He saw the way politicians always siphoned their country's funds to their account, some of which are always digging out just to bury money they stole from the country's savings. In another way, some politicians always take the share of their locality all by themselves instead of diverting the money to what is being made for.

Mark wants to be honorable as this name has been sounding so nice to him. He saw the name to mean those who are to be honored.

Mark was still in secondary school and promised himself that he was going to make his dream come true. Luke is a good friend of Mark right from their primary school days. They have been together as best friends and the only friend he trusted. Luke on the other hand does not like the politicians and has taken them to be people who have been marked, thieves. This was what he had in mind and also never wanted to mingle with them just because of their dubious plans and ways they have of stealing their national cakes.

Any political meetings organized by any politicians, Mark must be seen in their gathering. He always wanted to practice all their tactics and see how they always behave while talking to the masses. He has it in things that one day he is going to be a great politician. He was angry after seeing their local government chairman sharing a huge amount of money to those who attended their meeting. This made him have the mind of growing to the stage of becoming the best politician who everyone will reckon with.

He told his friend "I hope you are going to support me when the time is ripe"?. His friend, Luke responded, "I don't think so because I don't have passion for politics and I hate the politicians because they are all having the same mind of deceiving people". To me, they are all thieves and have the same kind of thoughts. There is no good politician in this present age just because of the love for money." Mark responded, "but I'm going to be a good one out of the bad ones we have". Anyone who claimed to be goodwill later get infested by greedy politicians. No one is good among them. Luke responded. So don't expect me to join you when the time comes. Ok? Luke added.

Two years later, they were out of secondary school and proceeded to university where they were both doing so great. Mark happened to study political science just because of the love for those politicians he has been seeing. Luke on the other hand is studying mathematics just because of the passion and love he has towards solving mathematical problems. Their journey began and it was a nice start for both of them.

They got through from the University and finished up with their youth service. Mark happened to know some of the politicians who were in his locality. He always moves close to them and the first one he loves to work with is Honourable Areh. Honourable Areh has been seen to be a sincere politician who people love so much not knowing that he has his way of doing things and making his money. People saw him as a good man not until Mark drew close to him. Hon Are told Mark "this is politics and I can say that it is a dirty game. I may be your man today and turn out to be your enemy tomorrow. This means we are not reliable and trusted." Honourable, to me some good politicians are working with pure minds, Mark responded. There is no such thing. They only pretend to be good but deep inside are bad eggs. Hon. Are responded. I'm only telling you this just because of the passion you have for politics and I don't want you to get frustrated. Instead, I will keep on giving you the mind to become one.

His parents, Mr and Mrs Dennis have known his plans towards becoming politicians and they one way told him not to get involved just because of their ways of doing things and cajoling people. Since Mark has made up his mind to be one, his parents decided to advise him to be the good ones out of the bad ones we have. Mark had already known that there is no good one among them and decided to start making his plans to become one. He was made the party chairman after attending many meetings with the party. He has been faithful to the party members and so was entrusted with the position of the party chairman.

Luke, who told Mark that he does not like politicians and doesn't want to be one, happened to be pulling a crowd in his party being the party leader. He never knew the secrets behind being called one.

After years, Mark was given the ticket to go for local government chairman which he came out successful. He was made the local government chairman of his locality and was so happy as his race had just begun. This was made to be possible through Honourable Areh. He has been loyal to him and the party members. Honourable Areh was his godfather and he never joked with him.

After four years, he told Honourable Areh that he wanted to run for senator. Honourable Areh was so happy to have seen what he had in mind. He decided to tell the members of his party and indeed they all agreed to the idea and permitted Mark to come out to contest for the post. Mark, who is now called Honourable Mark, went to his friend and told him to join forces with him. Luke refused just because of how his party members trusted him. He told Honourable Mark that "I will only work for you but will not let my members know about it". So, Luke was secretly working for Honourable Mark and behold, he became a senator. When he assumed office, Honourable Mark abandoned his friend and never cared to ask how far his friend is doing.

His friend Luke, later quit the line of politics and went to his field. He never had the intention of becoming a politician right from the start. Honourable Mark was paying homage to his godfather and his party members. He became greedy and never wanted to see others grow. All the Community entitlement that has been given to him were never refunded. The budget that was allocated to his constituency was given to him. He only did a little and abandoned the project. The remaining money was shared among the other strong political members to silent them.

This has been his method of behaving. His friend Luke who helped him to attain the senatorial seat was abandoned just because of his greed for money. Honourable Mark did all the dubious work and ended up being chased by the economic-financial crime. Everyone who was supposed to support him left him and he was left alone. Senator Mark was thrown in prison.

Note to all You can have it all but without giving to those in need, is vanity. When you are in a position, always do good and be good to those around you. Don't pretend to be good to people but let it come from your mind to be good and never deviate from being good.
