Meditation on "Draw near and take'" (GUSTATE) - Vidas Pinkevicius

The hymn "Draw near and take" is one that has sentimental meaning to me. I'm very grateful to Vidas Pinkevicius ( @organduo ) for composing this gentle meditation on the old Irish melody. The hymn tune is presented in the right hand part twice, first in the key of D major and then in F major. The piece ends in the home key of D major. A charming refrain connects the phrases of the hymn. This piece will be very effective in liturgical contexts and recital programs whenever contemplative music is desired.

I'm pleased to be recording this piece on the newly released Mátyás II sample set (Inspired Acoustics). It's a 110-stop 1909/1984 Rieger-Kloss symphonic organ of the Notre Dame of Buda (Matthias Church), Budapest, Hungary.
