Fidelis (Four Extemporisations) - Percy Whitlock | Hauptwerk St. Eucaire
Since recording the 'Andante Tranquillo' by Whitlock, I decided to delve further into his compositions. I was inspired by Paul Swinden's performance of 'Fidelis' here:
I have been using the St. Mary-Le-Bow sample set recently and was initially going to use it, but Paul had already used it for his recording :) I decided on using the small St. Eucaire sample set instead (Milan Digital Audio). The sample set has been around for many, many years but still holds its weight amongst the newer sets out there. I hope you enjoy this Aussie's performance of Whitlock's "Fidelis" on a French romantic instrument.
