Andante Tranquillo (Five Short Pieces) - Percy Whitlock | Hauptwerk St. Mary-Le-Bow

My friend, Hamish Wagstaff, has recently inspired me to play some relatively contemporary English organ music. I've never played any Whitlock before but many organists go straight to the "Folk Tune". Whilst it's a very beautiful piece, I opted to start with the "Andante Tranquillo". To be honest, post-Romantic English organ music is difficult for me to decipher and the constant manipulation of the swell box is tricky when the pedal line is quite active. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy this performance (as legato as a I could, I might add!). This was recorded using the St. Mary-Le-Bow sample set by Lavender Audio.
