Walk a little & run a little to complete another parkrun.

We went to Lota parkrun this morning. It was cold enough for me to want to walk around to stay warm in my t-shirt and shorts but not cold enough for me to go get my jumper out of the car. I knew I'd warm up as soon as I started my walk/run, or should I say "walk/jog".

With epic new parkrun locations picked up in new states and territories the last few weeks we've come home feeling even more like we really don't care about so many of the unofficial challenges we've been working on. For those who know about parkrun challenges the Wilson Index, the P Index, the V Index, even collecting new parkruns locally (because it means waking up super, super early) no longer sounds that interesting.

So instead of doing any of those things we just went somewhere local that Brad wanted to go and I could cruise. I'm committed to repairing whatever is going on with my right calf (she's been unhappy for a long while now). I'm using a rehab program out of the book "Older Yet Faster". Hopefully I can follow it sufficiently well that I can become not only injury free, but also older yet faster ;)

10,000 steps (and change) done. And another parkrun done, my way, which today was a really slow run/walk with a fair chunk of appreciating how beautiful the views are from this course and soaking up another lovely morning in (currently) sunny Queensland.

That is awesome, keeping so active. I struggle with motivation.

Oooooh. Thank you kind lady 🙏 Hmmm, motivation. I have a book for you! Maybe you've read it? But in case you haven't: "Switch: How to change things when change is hard" by Chip and Dan Heath. If you haven't read it yet, let me just say, your clever mind is going to lap it up and you'll realise what you need to do to motivate yourself and why you find it so hard from a psychological perspective.

Thank you. I will read it. (I read so much that I can honestly say I will read it, especially if there is an audiobook version. I have listened to 44 audiobooks so far this year. It goes it phases, though. Some months I listen to very few, but the past few, I have listened to many.)

(P.S. I now have the audiobook on hold at the library. Only 7 short weeks unless I get impatient and get it on Audible.)

Ha! Perfect. I'd be delighted to hear what you think if you feel like sharing once you've read (listened!) to it. If that looks like a book review, feel free to tag me.

Hivebits blends Hive's blockchain and Bitcoin's ethos. Your effort = your reward. Mine HBIT simply 1-per-day with (no space): ! hivebits or ! HBIT or ! hbit or $ hbit.
Success! You mined .9 HBIT and the user you replied to received .1 HBIT on your behalf. You can receive 100% of the HBIT by replying to one of your own posts or comments. Or, support Hivebits at the official HBIT mine | your wallet | market | tools | connect | <><

This confirmation reply will go off when Resource Credits (RCs) get low. Yet, your hivebits command will still go through and you'll get your HBIT. :)
