This is like something out of a science fiction novel! The first step is to take a scan of your heart and create a digital image to work with and create a new one. Cells are then taken from the patient and used to create the new 'heart cells'.

From here the new heart is made using a special 3d printer.

Amazing this could save many lives!

3D printing is making major strides in the field of organ replacement. We are seeing so many different companies working on this problem, it is hard to believe there will not be major breakthroughs soon.

There are so many who die waiting for organs. Imagine if we could print out organs for people in a few days.
